Some players are able to carry small players on their backs in an entertaining team
play. In order to do this the carrying player must have the Carry Team-Mate skill,
and the riding player must have the Ride skill. One 'Mounting' action may be
attempted each turn, and each player with 'Carry Team-Mate' may carry one player with
'Ride'.
It costs 3 squares of movement for the riding player to climb on.
'Go for it's may be used as part of the 3 squares. If moving onto the carrying
player's square requires a dodge, it must be made as if the target square was unoccupied
but otherwise counting all modifiers which would normally be in effect. If a
go for it or the dodge roll is failed place the riding player prone in it's square.
Roll for armour/injury, and the team will suffer a turnover as per normal.
Instead of having the smaller player climb on, the ridden player may
instead lift the little guy onto his back. This costs 3 squares of the ridden
player's movement, plus one additional square of movement for each tackle zone the little
guy is standing in. Go for its may be used for this, but if a go for it roll is
failed place the carrying player prone in his square, rolling for armour/injury as normal,
and end the team's turn. Note that if he is being lifted onto the carrying player's
back the riding player need not make a dodge roll. Also, a player may not lift a
prone player onto his back.
Whilst riding, the riding player has no tackle zone, may not block or
be blocked, and may not lend assists. He may blitz or foul as long as he dismounts
first, and may pass, catch and make hand-offs as normal. The riding player may also
hand-off the ball to the player he is riding, treat this as a normal hand-off.
While carrying a player the ridden player retains his tackle zone and
may make any actions as normal, and may be blocked as normal. If the carrying
player is knocked down for any reason the riding player will be thrown off. Scatter
the riding player the fallen player's square, pushing back any prone or standing players
in the landing square. The riding player may attempt to land on his feet by making
an agility roll at -1, with an additional -1 modifier for each tackle zone on the square
he is landing in.
