Although Undead teams may not hire
Apothecaries, they may hire Necromancer Adepts which fulfil much the same role. A
Necromancer Adept assists the Necromancer with the day-to-day management of the spells
keeping the team active, and during games may attempt to 'hold the team together'.
Once per game a Necromancer may do one of the following:
- Re-roll a failed regeneration roll for an Undead player.
- Attempt to heal an injured non-regenerating player in the same way as an apothecary
(thus it will be successful on a roll of 2+).
- Allow one player missing a game due to a niggling injury to play in the game.
Having a Necromancer Adept also allows a Necromancer to raise a Big Guy
as a Zombie.
Necromancer Adepts cost 100,000gp to hire, and each Undead team may
have up to one. Note that Necromancer Adepts count as Apothecaries and not
