Please Note: Secret Weapon players, Undead players and Vampires may not be raised from the dead.

An Undead Necromancer may cast a Raise the Dead spell once per match. This spell may only be cast if a player from the opposing team is killed during the match and allows the Necromancer to raise the player from the dead and add him to the Undead team as a new Zombie player.  The raise the dead spell may be cast at any time, and does not have to be cast directly after the opposing player being killed.

An Undead team must have an active Necromancer and an empty Zombie space on the team in order to raise a dead Human sized or Stunty opposing player.   The player undergoes the following transformation when raised from the dead:

  • The player gains the Regeneration skill.
  • The player loses 2 MA (to a minimum of 2) and 1 AG (to a minimum of 1).
  • The player loses all skills, but retains statistic increases (and decreases), physical abilities, and any niggled/peaked status .

An Undead team must possess an active Necromancer Adept and have an empty zomibe space AND an empty Big Guy/Vampire space in the team in order to raise a dead Big Guy.  Raising a dead Big Guy has the following effect:

  • The player gains the Regeneration skill.
  • The player loses 2 MA (to a minimum of 2) and 1 AG (to a minimum of 1).
  • The player loses all skills other than his original skills, but retains statistic increases (and decreases) and any niggled/peaked status.
  • Any negative skills originally possessed by the player are removed, and replaced with the Really Stupid negative skill.

The listed cost of a raised player is worked out using the player cost formula.

Regardless of what they were in their past incarnations, human sized Zombies have access to General skills only, and Zombie Stunties have access to Agility skills only.   Both can take skills from any category on a skill roll of doubles, but cannot take Physical Abilities, even if they were able to in their past lives.

Zombie Big Guys have access to General and Strength skills, and are subject to the same rules and restrictions as normal Big Guys.

Vampire Lords may also cast a Raise the Dead spell once per match, but it has slightly different results.  This spell may only be cast if a player from the opposing team is killed by a Vampire or Vampire Lord player during the match

A Vampire team must have an active Vampire Lord and an empty Vampire space on the team in order to raise a dead opposing player as a Vampire.  The player undergoes the following transformation when raised from the dead:

  • The player gains the Regeneration and Hypnotic Gaze skills, and the Off For a Bite negative skill.
  • The player gains 1 ST and 1 AG, to a maximum of 4 in both.  If either ST or AG are 4 or greater, the value remains unchanged.
  • The player loses all skills and negative skills (other than Off for a Bite), but retains statistic increases (and decreases), physical abilities, and any niggled/peaked status.

The listed cost of the raised Vampire is worked out using the player cost formula.  Raised Vampires otherwise follow all normal Vampire rules
